Carrot Jam / Moraba e Zardak طرزتهیه مربای زردک افغانی

Excited to share this delicious sweet recipe for breakfast, Carrot Jam-Moraba e Zardak. It is easy to make, fresh and yummy. Made from fresh carrots, this jam is perfect to have with tea and bread in the mornings or any other time you craving for something sweet but fresh.

Here is all you need:

  • Carrots
  • Sugar
  • Cardamom
  • Saffron
  • Walnuts

After washing the carrots, peel them and shred them using a vegetable shredder. In a clean dish heat some water. You do not need to bring It to a boiling point. Add the carrots and let it simmer for few minutes. Then you can go ahead and add all the remaining ingredients starting with sugar, cardamom, saffron and walnuts. Finally, add some water, mix and let it simmer. And there it is the jam is ready…fresh and Delicious…another yummy item on your breakfast table. Serve it hot or cold with tea and toasted bread.

Pour the rest in a good jar and save it for later. It will stay fresh and good as long as you refrigerate it and keep it cold.
