How to make Afghani Sticky rice with meatballs -Afghan Food Recipes طرزتهیه کچری قروت افغانی
Ingredients for shola
- ½ Cup Oil
- 2 Onions, Chopped
- 4 Garlics, Minced
- 1 Cup, Tomato Sauce
- 4 Cups Water
- 1 Chicken Cube
- 1 Cup, Green Pepper, chopped
- ½ Cup, Mung Beans
- 1 Cup, Short Grain White Rice
- +2 Cups Water
SPICES:
- 1 tsp, Turmeric Powder
- 1 Tbsp, Dill Weed
- 1Tbsp, Salt
- 1tsp, Black Pepper
- 1tsp, Char masala
- 1 Tbsp., Coriander Power
- Mint Powder, as desired
Directions
Add oil in slow cooker, Add chopped onions and garlic. When golden brown add turmeric powder and tomato sauce. Once fried add water and let it boil. Add all the spices: coriander powder, Dill weed, Salt, Black pepper, Char masala and chicken cube for good taste. Continue by adding Green pepper and mung beans. Mix well and add short grain white rice. Continue by adding more water. Let it boil. Cook on high for 10 minutes and then cook on low for 10 minutes. Sticky rice should be ready and cooked. Ingredients for Qoroot
- 4 Tbsp., Afghan Yogurt, Qoroot
- 1 Cup Water
- 3 Minced Garlic
Directions
In a small dish, add Afghan Yogurt and Water and mix it well. Continue by adding minced garlic and mix well.
Serving
Serve in a big plate in the following order with:
Shola, Meatballs,Yogurt,Mint Powder and fried turmeric.
